Action in schools

From saving electricity in Poland to carbon-free travel in Austria, schools across Europe are already finding ways to reduce their carbon footprint.

We call ourselves the ENERGY SQUAD! We are checking how much electricity different parts of the school are using. On our survey sheets, we’ve put pictures of things like computers and lights. Next to them we record how many have been left on when no-one is in the room.

From setting up recycling centres in the Czech Republic to awareness raising ‘Community Clean-Up’ operations in Slovakia, students are demonstrating how reducing, reusing and recycling can cut carbon emissions.
